What is the Law of Attraction and how can it be used?
The Law of Attraction basically states that whatever you are thinking whether it be good or bad, you are attracting similar things to you throughout life. If you are in a positive happy mood then you will be attracting more positive and happy thoughts and actions into your life. The mind is a powerful tool. Most people are not consciously thinking about their thoughts which in turn creates their life accordingly to whatever they are thinking throughout their day. Life on autopilot is the best metaphor. Our emotions play a key role in our thoughts, which may seem obvious enough. We are just so used to going about our daily lives that we are not realizing half the thoughts that cross our mind, and how many of those thoughts are actually negative or destructive. Sometimes it is easier to observe our emotions rather than our thoughts. It is easy to tell if we are happy, or sad, or angry, and when we realize how we are feeling then we can regulate our thoughts better. Our thoughts influence our life.
So how do we use the Law of Attraction in our daily lives?
Well the first step is realizing what we are thinking about. We need to understand what thoughts are going through our head and correct them if necessary. We need to be in a positive state of mind. Optimism is the key. One of the easiest ways to be in a good mood is by thinking about all of the things that we are truly thankful for. Once we are in a habitually constant state of happiness, then good things should start happening.
The Law of Attraction recommends three steps to achieving things that we want in our lives.
- The first step is to Ask – Know what you want and ask for it. Ask the universe; ask your God or higher power, whatever you believe in.
- Step two is to Believe – Truly believe that what you want is possible, that you deserve it and act as if it is already yours. Imagine what it feels like to have it in your life. Let it come to you on its own time. Don’t rush it; just believe no matter what.
- And lastly, the third step is to Receive. Let it come to you and be open to receiving it. And when it comes to you be thankful and enjoy what is yours.
